OVERVIEW
The Startek FM220U is a compact CMOS-based optical Fingerprint Scanner designed specially to provide high-level biometric security for identity authentication applications. The device maintains the highest standards and has received both FBI-PIV and STQC certifications. The Startek FM220U offers great hardware and software compatibility which makes it an ideal platform for developers.
The device is used for NDLM, Apna CSC, Jeevan Pramaan, Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS), VTP Certified for Aadhaar Authentication, by UIDAI – STQC. It has an image resolution of 500 dpi. With Real-life applications there is no problem in verifying smeared, scarred, stained, and smudged fingers. This device cannot be used for SIM activation.
